Zone3's Neoprene Women's Swimming Costume initially intended as a thermal base layer to help enhance the thermal properties of an open water swimming wetsuit but now often worn instead of a standard costume by many swimmers not wanting the coverage of a full neoprene wetsuit. Forming part of Zone3's Thermal range of neoprene accessories for open water swimming the neoprene costume is made from a high quality Yamamoto 1.5mm neoprene with Super-Stretch lining. This technical costume can offer buoyancy, improved glide and speed through the water and some core body warmth and thin enough to wear as a base layer under a swimming wetsuit to help provide an extra layer of warmth in cooler swimming conditions. The 1.5mm neoprene has a glideskin outer finish to aid water run-off, ideal for open water swimming use, with extra buoyancy and reducing drag through the water. Particularly useful for wearing in outdoor pools which aren't heated to help provide core body insulation, buoyancy, excellent flexibility and potentially allowing swimming all year. For either use, Zone3 do recommend firstly trying with a normal swimming costume on top. The Zone3 neoprene costume is flatlocked stitched, with triple stitched flat seams, for durability and comfort. The open cell neoprene is folded, heat bonded and zig-zag stitch on the arm, neck and leg holes to reduce water entry. Zone3's Neoprene Swimming Costume has proven to be extremely versatile and can be worn as a neoprene swimming suit or it can be worn under your usual swimming costume as a base layer to help provide some extra core warmth. The costume is also a good alternative for some pools which don’t allow full neoprene wetsuits to be worn but where you may benefit from a little extra warmth.
